    • Thank you for visiting and for your questions Bill! The trail that you are speaking of has been created and recreated a few times. It is called the Okanagan Highlands Trail and is supposed to connect the area around Chute Lake to Little White, to Hydraulic Lake / Mcculloch Reservoir and then to Mile Zero of the Okanagan High Rim Trail, but that reality is not yet here. However, I am sure it is a reality for some and I may not have all my facts for it correct. Lets hope someone in this community can provide more trail details and possibly a GPS route.

    • Thank you for your question Bill.
Clay was correct in his reply to you. I don’t know if anyone is currently maintaining the Okanagan Highlands Trail which ends on the south side of Mission Creek. Our group does its best to maintain the High Rim Trail which runs from Mission Creek north to the Cosen’s Bay Gate in Kalamalka Provincial Park. We have cleared most of the downed trees and problematic brush and we have hung new flagging tape. The section of the trail that starts from Philpott Road was heavily damaged last year during the wildfire and again when the area was logged this past spring. As far as I know the trail has not been repaired yet.
The High Rim Trail is a wilderness trail maintained entirely by volunteers who love the trail and want others to enjoy their hiking experience. I can’t speak for the state of the Okanagan Highlands Trail.
